Is David Broza, in fact, the Israeli Billy Joel?
If so, what are the theological and halakhic implications of this claim? How might it be understood by the two primary populations affected by this claim: those who enjoy this music, and those who do not? If not, what might the implications be for the ongoing attempt to create lasting peace in the Middle East?

Hey, do you have David Broza’s song “The Art of Losing” (a musical rendition, naturally enough, of Elizabeth Bishop’s poem “One Art”)? I heard him perform it years ago and have been wishing for a recording of it ever since, but it’s not on the album of his that I own.
(That’s one of my favorite poems ever, and he does a lovely job of setting it to melody.)
Nope, sorry.
(I’m not actually a huge Broza fan, I gotta say. Nor Billy Joel. There are a couple of Broza songs I like, that’s about it…..)
