The 3 stories listed under “Entertainment” on the main page of Google News right now are all related to sexual abuse allegations. We have the Michael Jackson child molestation case, we evidently have the rape of a 15 year-old connected somehow to Nick Nolte, and we have the Catholic Church’s payout to its own victims of sexual abuse.

It just makes me really, really sad. This is supposed to be the section that takes us away from all the crap on the front page and gives us fun, right? But even our fun is broken. And reminds me of this Ntozake Shange poem that burns my insides every time I read it.
I would like to live in a healthier world, please. With a side of fries, extra ketchup, if you might be so kind.
