Picking up the visa from the consulate was wayyy too easy–I just went in there, they handed it to me, I left. Definitely displaying signs of zombie possession.
But now, a few hours later, I just opened it again and noticed something that, of course, I hadn’t seen in the consulate: the visa expires a good six weeks before my semester ends, thereby insuring that I will, at some point, have to spend at least one long, frustrating day in the Office of Something or Other in Tel Aviv or wherever trying to get somebody to fix this, all the harder done now that there’s something on the record.
I mean, I’ll try to go back to this office tomorrow, but I confess to being not hideously optimistic about it all.
Why couldn’t it just have been the zombies?
Hey Ms Danya,
Haven’t seen you in a while, but came across your blog and am really enjoying reading about your studies in Israel!
Lots of Love,
Jackie
Believe me, don’t underestimate the amount that zombies can ruin your day…
Goodluck on that one annoying day when it will come 🙂
I wouldn’t be too worried – if you end up not having the correct visa, the chances are the airport staff will just tell you “not to do it again” and let you right through.
