Dear God,

We stopped praying for rain almost two weeks ago.

Love, adoration and worship as always,

  1. Oh dear…I keep forgetting and I know that this is all my fault =). Hit me with a *wham* when I was slopping to school in the rain last Wednesday. On the other hand, I also reminded myself not to be annoyed when running in the rain in the fall–”mashiv haruach, u’morid hageshem” and felt grateful.

  2. I wonder if anyone has made the religious argument against f**ing up the environment because it will throw our prayer cycle off?

Yael, don’t worry. I added it by accident a few times too. It isn’t all your fault. I bear some responsibility as well…. and I’m sure we’re not alone. But enough already, OK?

  3. While I’m not a fan of the rain anymore, I like to think that God rewarded me for going to shul. See, I got there before it started raining in the morning and we finished after it stopped! (Granted, we finished WELL after it stopped, but still!)

  5. Gella–

I’m writing this from Jerusalem, as are Robbie and Myrrh. Not sure where Yael’s praying from, but the rest of us are on the patch of land meant for those supplications.

  6. Well, Don’t I recall the kineret being desperately low for years now? Perhaps this is a sign that things are moving in the right direction.
